When Things Flow…They Just Do!

Last evening I met with a good friend at a local high-end mall located in Coral Gables, which is in the heart of Miami. We were going to have dinner. However, since I was early, I decided to also shop for a bit.

It so happened that I was on the phone with my son when my friend showed up. I immediately ended the call and put my phone away. Or so I thought!

A little under one hour later, as we were shopping in one of the stores, my friend gets a call from another good friend of mine. She was calling looking for me. She needed to let me know that I had lost my phone and that mall security had it. Someone apparently had found it and turned it in. I had not even realized that I didn’t have my phone. I must have unknowingly dropped it. However, how did she know before I did?, and how did she even know that I was with my other friend?

The sequence of events seem a little unreal to me. But I do have a tendency to lose things and find them in the strangest ways. It happens all the time!

  • I drop my phone somewhere in the mall.
  • An angel happens to find it, and turns it in to mall security.
  • My iPhone is locked so unless someone calls…
  • My friend decides to call me and the security officer picks up the call.
  • Security lets her know they have the phone.
  • That friend decides to contact two of my friends, and one of those friends suggests she call the friend I was with on the off chance that she was with me.
  • So that’s how calls the one I was with and better yet she picks up the call. Unreal…no one knew that we were together. So we find out about my phone whereabouts.
  • I check my purse and yes my iPhone is not there.
  • We go to the security office and I retrieve my phone.

All this happens in less than one hour and before I even miss my phone. Unbelievable!

This is just an example of how situations in life resolve themselves when you let things flow without resistance.

I think it’s a small miracle. Don’t you?
