The Heart Break 💔
What would the world do if there were no hearts breaking? Have you ever felt that pain? It literally feels like the heart is splitting in two and you feel like crying all the time. It feels like a death. Actually… it is the death of an illusion. There are few times in my life when I have experienced it and I can say that it is not fun. At all.
However, it has been the source of inspiration since the world has been…well…the world. The greatest stories are written about it. It has inspired poets, writers, ballets, song writers, playwrights, and operas. If we didn’t go through this excruciating pain Shakespeare would have never written Romeo and Juliet. Operas like Carmen and La Traviata would not exist. Even Dr. Seuss would have never written: “Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right, forgive the ones who don’t and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it’d be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.”
I’m listening to the song by Rod Stewart “Reason To Believe”, I’m sure it was inspired by a broken heart. Actually, by a heartbreaking lie in that case. Nevertheless, we must give it another chance and put ourselves out there to get hurt time and time again… because one day it will be worth it. I just know it.
So I’m thinking that to experience it, it’s like a rite of passage; and that nobody ever died from a broken heart. Not really. Have they?
