Bring Me Flowers

Something wonderful happens when a man brings flowers to his girl. This is something that will never change.

Is it possible for a woman to be given too many flowers? I think…No way!

I know not of any woman that doesn’t t like this. It doesn’t matter if the girl is intimidating, self sufficient, business savvy, meek, outgoing, shy, a millennial, a baby boomer, or a feminist…she will love it. Just like she likes it when the door is opened for her, or her chair is pulled. At least this girl does!😉

I believe that “the how” to treat a lady is something that should be taught at home. Just like we teach our daughters what they need to know and how to behave to be respected, we should also teach our boys how to be gentlemen and how to treat the girl right.

There are times when I worry that I may not have taught my boys right. But then they surprise me with a beautiful orchid, or a book they think I will love… and I’m gratified. Maybe I did it right!

My sons can be thoughtful with me when they are mindful…so I just know that they will also be so with their future wives or partners…or at least I hope so!After all, it is said, “that the way that you treat your mother… is the way you that you will treat the women in your life”…I do wonder if there’s any truth to that.

However, it is true that thoughtfulness translates to mindfulness. In general, men tend to underestimate the impact of thoughtfulness. Mindful behavior tells a woman a lot about the person. The reality is that when it comes to romance, just like in business, you will catch more flies with honey. It’s just human nature.

It’s making someone feel that they are special to you; and that, in turn, will make you someone special to them.

It may be that I’m a romantic; but I like to think that chivalry is not dead…it may just be in hiding!🥹

However, just like when playing “hide and go seek”, you have to know what it is that you are seeking and where to look.
